Save Thousands with Geothermal Heat Pumps

Receive thousands in incentives to help cover costs when you install a geothermal heat pump and modernize your home with clean energy technology. Limited time only.

null

How it Works

  1. Choose an approved contractor.
  2. The contractor visits your home, recommends the right equipment, and totals how much it will cost after Con Edison’s contribution.
  3. The contractor performs the work and subtracts $35,000* from your final invoice, or $45,000** if you live in a Disadvantaged Community. No waiting around for rebates!

To take advantage of this limited time offer, your contractor must submit an incentive application by May 31, 2024, and complete installation by December 31, 2024.

Disadvantaged Communities are defined by the New York State Climate Justice Working Group. See if you live in a designated disadvantaged community.

Geothermal Innovation

Planet-friendly geothermal heat pumps let you efficiently heat and cool your home using the constant year-round temperature underground. The heat pumps transfer heat into your home during cold winter months and then remove heat during summer. In some cases, they can also heat water for use in sinks and showers.

Geothermal has three main components:
  1. A ground loop, which consists of pipes buried in the ground that circulate water to absorb heat from or release heat into the surrounding soil
  2. Heat pumps, which use a refrigerant to transfer energy from the ground loop into your home (or vice versa)
  3. Ductwork, which distributes heated or cooled air throughout your home

Geothermal Incentives

Get $35,000* from your final invoice, or $45,000** if you live in a Disadvantaged Community, --up to 300,000 Btu/h total.

When combined with federal tax credits, you could save tens of thousands of dollars when you install a heat pump.

To get started, find a participating contractor in the New York State Clean Heat Program. Your contractor will help find and install your heat pump and deduct your rebate from the total project cost.
