Become an Instant Lighting Program Participating Contractor
Ready to partner with customers interested in making the switch to LEDs?
As a participating contractor, you’ll help customers choose eligible ENERGY STAR & DesignLights Consortium LED lighting products to reduce costs and make their buildings more energy efficient.
To participate as a contractor, you must:
- Have completed at least two years of business
- Purchase directly from a lighting manufacturer or their rep agency, or be a lighting manufacturer making direct sales
- Have and maintain liability insurance coverage of at least $1 million
- Maintain good standing with other Con Edison programs, if currently or previously enrolled

Please include your Certificate of Insurance (COI) with your application. You must list “CECONY Inc., 4 Irving Pl, New York, NY, 10003” as the additional insurer under the Certificate Holder section. See an example.
