Con Edison Employee From Hartsdale Wins Energy Company’s Highest Honor

Maggie Chow Earns Prestigious Award For Her Leadership at Work and Her Community Service

A 30-year Con Edison employee who lives in the Westchester County community of Hartsdale has won the company’s highest honor for her commitment to the safety of her colleauges andcustomers..

Maggie Chow, a department manager in the company’s Project and Resource Group – Edison Project, is a winner of the Living Our Values Award. The awardrecognizes high-achieving employees who demonstrate stellar character on and off the job. LOV winners exemplify the company's commitment to its priorities: safety, operational excellence, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

“I’m always proud to speak about what we’re doing at Con Edison to improve our processes and innovation capabilities so that we can continue to keep ourselves and the public safe, provide great customer service and lead the clean energy transition,” said Chow.

The company named Chow a Corporate Research and Development Champion in 2020 and Safety Leader Award in 2022 During her career she has attained nine patents in areas ranging from process enhancements to cost optimization and more than a dozen team awards. Her work has also won the silver medal of the Brandon Hall Excellence Award in the advanced learning category.

“From early on, Maggie developed a ‘doing it right the first time’ attitude, which has served us all well.” said Joseph Somma, the department manager in Con Edison’s Project & Work Resource Group. “She’s a perfectionist and her dedication to high-quality work sets a great example for all of us.”

Chow’s focus also includes her commitment to the promoting STEM in local high schools, her church and fostering cats in need of homes. Chow serves on the Programming Committee and also Anti-Racism Committee for Clay Arts center – a nonprofit organization in Westchester where she works to balance the inclusion and diversity for artists opportunities for local exhibitions.
