Con Edison Announces Jen Hensley as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs

Con Edison announces today that Jen Hensley will join Con Edison as a senior vice president. She is currently the vice president of Government Relations at Lyft, responsible throughout North America for government relations, policy, and strategy. Jen serves on the company’s leadership forum and has developed and negotiated innovative legislative initiatives throughout the country, generating new funding for vehicle and fleet electrification and infrastructure. Jen has lived in New York for more than 25 years, and has spent much of her career working in both the private and public sector to grow and expand New York’s tech community.

Prior to joining Lyft, Jen was the president of Link, overseeing the global deployment of free wi-fi kiosks where she led a 400-person team responsible for deployment, product development, engineering, technical support and corporate affairs. Prior to that, she served as the executive director of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY). At ABNY, she conceived of and executed the first-ever NYC Tech Ecosystem report, which served as a blueprint for the City’s tech workforce and economic development agenda. She also served as a Special Advisor to the Chairman of the Empire State Development Corporation where she advised on policy issues, legislative actions, industry and market trends and companies seeking state aid. And at the Alliance for Downtown New York, she helped the lower Manhattan recovery after 9/11. Jen has served as a lead spokesperson in technology, transportation, media and real estate issues.

Jen holds an MBA and a Masters of Public and Non-Profit Management from NYU and a BA in Sociology from Barnard College. She resides in Astoria, Queens.

Jen will join Con Edison in July as a senior vice president and assume responsibilities for Corporate Affairs when Frances Resheske retires later in July.
