Save $120 a Year on Your Electric Bill With Community Power
How Community Power Works
Solar Is Installed in Your Community
By participating, you share clean solar energy generated by panels installed on the roofs of New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) buildings in your neighborhood.
Save Money on Your Electric Bill
Each month, the solar panels will produce energy. Since you are participating in the program, part of the energy is yours. The energy then gets converted to dollars and appears on your Con Edison bill as a credit or "adjustment". This credit will be different depending on how much energy the panels make each month (more in the summer, less in the winter). No matter how much your credit is each month, you keep 20% of the credit (as savings) and give 80% back to the cooperative to keep the program running.
It’s free to participate and savings are guaranteed!
