Con Edison Distributes Dry Ice in Brooklyn for Customers Affected by Heat Wave

Con Edison is distributing dry ice today at 274 Nassau Ave. near the corner of Morgan Avenue in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn to customers who have lost power due to the intense heat wave.

The company also has a mobile information center at the location until 9 p.m. Workers are available to answer customers’ questions.

Instructions for safe handling and disposal of dry ice are printed on the bag containing the ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. A reminder: children and pets should be kept safely away from dry ice.
