It's Daylight Savings! Spring Ahead, Save Daylight, Energy, Money, and the Planet

Con Edison asks customers to consider adding some quick, easy energy-saving ideas to their daylight-saving rituals. Even small changes help save energy, money and reduce impact to the environment.

“As New York transitions away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy, we want to make sure customers are equipped with the tools and resources to save on costs,” said Jen Hensley, Con Edison’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs. “We will continue to work with our customers to support New York’s climate goals and usher in a clean energy future.”

On Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 a.m., the Spring ritual of advancing clocks by one hour to make better use of natural daylight takes place. In addition to changing clocks, many people routinely replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Here are a few tips to make homes or businesses more energy efficient.
