Re: Brief Service Disruption in Staten Island

We are investigating a disturbance on our electric transmission system serving parts of Staten Island. 13,900 customers were without service for 7 minutes from 9:05 to 9:12 am. The initial event caused a momentary power interruption for an additional 19,000 customers and the system operated as designed by reconfiguring the source of the electric supply and restored those customers immediately. All customers have been restored.
