Con Edison Crews Responding To Outages Caused By Storms And Heat

Con Edison crews are working to restore power to 4,200 customers who were affected by the storms and heat that have hit the area.

The company is replacing cable and making other repairs to get customers back in service.

The customers affected include 2,700 in Brooklyn and 1,200 in Queens. Con Edison expects to have the vast majority of these customers restored tonight.

Con Edison reminds members of the public to place safety first. Do not go near downed wires. They may be live. Report downed wires to Con Edison or your local police department. Adults should remember to advise children and others at risk to be extra careful, and to safeguard pets as well.

Customers can report outages and check service restoration status at www.conEd.com/reportoutage, or with our mobile app for iOS or Android devices, or by calling 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633). When calling, customers should report whether their neighbors have lost power. Customers who report outages will receive updates with their estimated restoration times as they become available.
