Brownsville Church Leader Wins Con Edison’s Highest Employee Award

Con Edison has awarded its highest honor, the Living Our Values award, to Aliston Francis, a lead mechanic in the energy company’s Construction Services division.

Each year, Con Edison selects employees who exemplify the values of service, teamwork and excellence, and who demonstrate concern for the quality of life in their communities.

Mr. Francis is all that and more. He is a board member of the Grace Church of God in Brownsville, Brooklyn and leader of the men’s ministry. Besides his ecclesiastical duties, Aliston teaches men about household repairs and workshops. He and his wife also serve as Pastoral Ministry Leaders in helping the church and surrounding community in Brooklyn.

At Con Edison, Aliston Francis is also a recognized leader; recipient of more than four Team Awards, and passionately devoted to delivering on the needs of the customers he serves from the energy company’s large East River plant in Manhattan. He’s also an integral part of Con Edison’s new Engagement Team, which was conceived to help mentor junior employees.

“Aliston is a champion of our top priorities: safety, operational excellence, customer service and integrity,” said Robert Boyle, Con Edison Vice President of Construction Services. “He takes on each request - whether from a customer or supervisor - as a challenge to do better than before.”

Con Edison is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. [NYSE: ED], one of the nation’s largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $12 billion in annual revenues and $54 billion in assets.
