Staten Island Lineman & Woodbridge, N.J. Resident Wins Con Edison’s Highest Honor
Restored Power to Senior Center In Puerto Rico
Marshall Nichols, a 46-year-old Con Edison chief line constructor in Staten Island, who helped restore power to thousands of Puerto Rico residents, has won the company’s highest honor, the Living Our Values award.
The recognition is presented annually to company employees who exemplify the values of service, teamwork and excellence, and who demonstrate concern for the quality of life in their communities.

“Nick (as his co-workers address him) is the go-to-guy for new initiatives. He always acts with integrity and holds himself and his peers, managers, customers to a high standard of courtesy and respect,” said Johnny Price, a Con Edison colleague.
Nichols was deployed twice to Puerto Rico to assist with the energy restorations in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria. In Puerto Rico he was part of a team that restored power to thousands of islanders, including a Guaynabo Senior Living Center that was in the dark for four months. You can view the video here:
