Contractors Brought Savings Home for Con Edison Energy Efficiency Customers

Utility Honors Top Contractors in Residential Program -- Four contractors from New York City and one from Westchester County received awards from Con Edison’s Green Team this morning for helping residential customers make upgrades to reduce their energy use and save money.

The honorees were chosen for their work during 2013, a year in which Con Edison residential customers made upgrades that will save more than 5,000 megawatt hours of electricity and 22,000 dekatherms of gas a year.

The contractors played an integral role in the Heating and Cooling Rebates program. That program awards rebates of up to $1,000 per measure to customers who replace heating and cooling systems with eligible energy-efficient equipment.

More than 6,000 Con Edison customers received rebates totaling $5.4 million from the program last year.

The contractors who received the top awards for completing the most projects in 2013 were:

  • Bob Mims Heating and Cooling, Staten Island
  • LLG Plumbing & Heating, Bronx
  • Robison Singer Holding, Westchester
  • AC & Appliances/Inn Green, Queens
  • Brooklyn Electronic Appliances, Brooklyn
