Before submitting your request, be sure to:

Once requirements are confirmed, be sure to:

• Submit project details, including load and site plans, through Project Center
• Confirm that customer account and property details are accurate
• Submit interconnection details (if your project includes clean energy)
• Check if any incentive program applications require submission

LOG IN TO PROJECT CENTER

We’ll review your project to determine system impact and how the service will be connected.

Be sure to:

• Respond quickly to our requests
• Confirm any design changes with your customer before proceeding

If your project is approved, you will receive details outlining responsibilities and costs.

Be sure to:

• Review service layout, scope, and timeline
• Review costs with your customer and secure approval
• Complete required agreements or payments to avoid delays

Once the installation is complete, be sure to:

• Coordinate site access with your customer, as needed
• Ensure installation aligns with approved plans (including any clean energy systems)

Once installation is complete, initiate inspections and inform us that your project is ready.

Be sure to:

• Resolve access or property issues ahead of time
• Schedule local inspection
• Upload required documents and confirm readiness

All installations must be approved before service can be connected.

Be sure to:

• Address any failed inspections identified by the inspector.
• Request a re-inspection once corrections are complete.

Con Edison installs meters, connects service and energizes the system, completing the project.

Be sure to:

• Include the customer if they are required for final meter reading or activation
• Submit any remaining incentive documentation to receive payment

If the project involves connecting a distributed generation system to the grid, it will go through the Standardized Interconnection Requirements (SIR) process. Standard electrical or gas service work that doesn't involve generation typically goes through the Project Center. If you're not sure which applies, your Energy Services representative can help you determine the right path before you file.

Contact your Energy Services representative as early as possible with the details of the change. Depending on the scope, a design modification may require a revised application, updated permits, or a new review. Getting ahead of it early keeps the project on schedule and avoids delays at inspection.

Once your project is complete, you can request a final inspection through Project Center. Common reasons for failure include incomplete or incorrect wiring, equipment that doesn't match the approved plan, missing permits, and accessibility issues at the job site. A quick self-check against the approved scope before you call for inspection can help you save time and avoid return visits.

Start by checking your project status through Project Center. If things aren't moving as expected, contact your Energy Services representative directly. They can look into the delay, clarify what's needed, and escalate on your behalf when necessary. The sooner you flag it, the sooner we can help get things back on track.
