What is the Bring Your Own Battery Program?
If you’re a Con Edison customer with an eligible battery, you can earn money, get more value from your battery, and help keep energy reliable when demand is high.
How it Works
- Events run from May 1 to September 30
- Events can last up to four hours
- Payments will be provided by Con Edison
Get Started
Step 1
Enroll your eligible battery with your Service Provider.
Step 2
During select summer peak-demand events, we'll use some of your battery's stored energy to ease stress on the grid.
Step 3
Earn $100/kW for your average seasonal performance.

Eligible Batteries
If needed, you can purchase an eligible home battery from Tesla, a qualified Service Provider.
Note: providers will be added as they are approved for participation.
