Three Long Island Residents Win Awards for Con Edison Safety Study

Three Con Edison researchers from Long Island have received industry awards for their work on a study confirming the safety of smart electrical meters.

Each earned a Technology Transfer Award from the Electric Power Research Institute. That organization supports the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of electricity to customers.

The winners were:

  • Oceanside resident William Azzoli, a senior engineer who has been with the company since 2010.
  • Port Jefferson Station resident Costas Magoulas, who is also a senior engineer. He joined Con Edison in 2006.
  • Deer Park resident Adam Miller, an engineer who joined the company in 2005.
