Con Edison Dry Ice Distribution Continues in Westchester as Storm Restoration Nears Completion

Con Edison will continue distributing dry ice today in Westchester from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as storm restoration nears completion.

Safe handling and disposal instructions will be distributed in English and Spanish along with the paper bags containing the dry ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Keep children and pets safely away.

Con Edison crews are making steady progress around the clock restoring electric service to those still affected by this past week’s two nor’easters. Wednesday’s storms created additional outages and hazards, so we ask for both your patience and for your attention to areas that pose a danger to you or your neighbors. Be sure and remind everyone to stay away from any downed wires; they may be live. Your safety is our highest priority. Our crews will work diligently until everyone is restored.
