Update: New Dry Ice Location in Yorktown Heights

Con Edison has changed one of the locations where it will distribute dry ice today.

The new location is:

K-mart Shopping Center
355 Downing Drive
Yorktown Heights, 10598

Distribution will NOT take place at the Staples shopping center on Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights. Con Edison made this change due to traffic safety concerns.

Con Edison is also distributing dry ice at:

New Rochelle City Hall
Rear Parking Lot
515 North Avenue
New Rochelle

Distribution at the Yorktown Heights and New Rochelle locations will take place until 6 p.m. Safe handling and disposal instructions will be provided along with the dry ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Keep children and pets safely away.

Con Edison crews will continue to work around the clock to restore electric service. Company crews are prioritizing restorations that will bring power to critical facilities and the greatest number of people as quickly as possible, with restorations that affect smaller numbers of people to follow.
