Con Edison Distributing Dry Ice In Hardest-Hit Westchester

Two Locations: Yorktown Heights and New Rochelle

Con Edison is distributing dry ice in two locations in Westchester County today, where its customers were buffeted by the big Nor’easter, and where the greatest number of outages remain. The company will have two distribution points:

Staples
3303 Crompond Road
Yorktown Heights
10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

New Rochelle City Hall
Rear Parking Lot
515 North Avenue
New Rochelle 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Safe handling and disposal instructions will be provided along with the dry ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Keep children and pets safely away.

Con Edison crews will continue to work around the clock to restore electric service. Company crews are prioritizing restorations that will bring power to critical facilities and the greatest number of people as quickly as possible, with restorations that affect smaller numbers of people to follow.
