Con Edison Manager from Edgewater, N.J. Honored as Top Asian-American Businessperson
A Con Edison department manager who lives in Edgewater, N.J. has been named one of the Outstanding 50 Asian-Americans in Business.
Shuchita Prakash, who works in Corporate Strategy Planning for Con Edison, earned the honor from the Asian-American Business Development Center. That organization highlights the contributions and achievements of entrepreneurs and businesspeople across the nation.
Born in India and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Prakash worked in the U.A.E., Kuwait, Canada, Scotland, India, and the United States before joining Con Edison in September 2007.
She began her Con Edison career as an operations support manager in Gas Operations. As part of the Corporate Strategy Planning group, she works on strategic initiatives such as technology trends that affect Con Edison and its customers.
She is also working with her former Gas Operations team on long-range planning initiatives.
“You work hard, you’re persistent, and when recognized in such a significant way, it’s encouraging and fulfilling,” Prakash said. “I feel honored to be recognized for work my colleagues here at Con Edison and I have done on behalf of our customers.”
