Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo
Saturday, April 30, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Join the Bronx Zoo in the 3rd annual Run for the Wild. The day will start with a 5K run to raise awareness for the impact of climate change, followed by programs dedicated to raising awareness for the need to preserve the planet.

- Tuesday, April 19, 1-3 p.m.: Magnificent Nature Mandalas - Create your own beautiful mosaic mandala using both natural and manmade materials. Participants will design an earth friendly craft to take home and enjoy. We welcome reusable and recyclable materials brought from home. - Saturday, April 23, 10:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m.: Earth Fair - Celebrate the Earth with the Staten Island Zoo. If you are interested in plants and gardening, then join the Zoo’s Botanist for a tour. Learn about the various plant species we have here on the Zoo grounds. Stop by an Education Station and learn about composting and how you can do it in your own home! We will also have crafts, activities, and animal encounters available for children.
- Monday, April 25, 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Dinosaurs and More*- Join dinosaur enthusiast Richie Mirissis as he presents some amazing fossils, three- dimensional models, and memorabilia from his vast collection. Make a clay fossil mold with the help of our knowledgeable volunteers. *Subject to cancellation. Free with regular admission – donation requested. Pre-registration not required.
4th Annual Earth Day “GetGreen” South Bronx Earth Fest
