You can use any plumber licensed in New York State. You may also choose to use a plumber from Con Edison's Trade Ally Program.

What does "service adequate" mean?
Service adequate means that your home or building already has an existing gas service for cooking, hot water, or drying that is adequate enough to handle the additional load of gas heat.

One gallon of oil is equivalent to 1.4 therms of gas.

No, a New York State licensed plumber is responsible for completing the conversion work. Con Edison will conduct an inspection of the conversion after it is completed. Con Edison will also install the new gas meter.
