The Customized Gas Incentive Program is for customers who don't qualify for other Con Edison programs, but still want to upgrade from oil to natural gas heating on a firm or interruptible rate. Potential customers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, comparing cost of supplying the gas to the customer's estimated revenue. If the comparison proves to be financially sound, various incentives may be offered to meet the customer's needs. The incentives may be in the form of rebates, contribution to Con Edison's construction costs, and/or negotiated transportation rates.
