Con Edison recognizes the need for additional electric capacity in its service territory. Long-term demand side management (DSM) could reduce the need for additional capacity, while minimizing environmental impacts of electric supply resources and promoting increased energy efficiency awareness among consumers. Furthermore, DSM may help to defer capital investment for electric load relief.

Con Edison is soliciting proposals from qualified parties to supply Con Edison with new DSM resources delivered to targeted electric load areas and networks in New York City and Westchester County, New York.  Con Edison is seeking a minimum of 158 MW of load reduction in the aggregate over a multi-year period. Qualifying proposals will be evaluated based on the technical and financial qualifications of the respondents, including the likelihood of successful performance based on experience, expertise and proposed implementation program.
