The Con Edison Purchasing department is responsible for the procurement and supply
management of all goods and services for Con Edison with the exception of fuel, real
estate, financial services, and insurance. The group manages the company's inventory,
and handles the sale of disposed assets in its resource recovery group. The Supplier Diversity
Program, which is part of the Purchasing department, qualifies
diverse businesses to act as vendors for Con Edison.
