NEW YORK – Two more Con Edison veterans have passed the 50-years-of-service mark, swelling the ranks of the company's most elite club to 22.

They started on the same day 50 years ago.

David Jacobs

John Sandstrom

"Both David and John exemplify the very best in Con Edison Central Engineering," said Chief Engineer John Isecke. "Their institutional and system knowledge are invaluable and frankly, the rest of us are grateful that they continue to come to work every day. Con Edison is a better company because of their efforts, and New York and Westchester have benefited from their contributions in a thousand unseen ways."

Jacobs is a project specialist, and handles system emergencies on transformers, reactors, breakers, and other equipment, as well as projects related to their replacement. Sandstrom is a transformer field engineer, responsible for providing assistance to field organizations on transformer related issues.

Con Edison is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. [NYSE: ED], one of the nation's largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $13 billion in annual revenues and $39 billion in assets. The utility provides electric, gas and steam service to more than three million customers in New York City and Westchester County, New York.
