CON EDISON NAMES TOP ENERGY EFFICIENCY PERFORMERS
NEW YORK – Con Edison today announced the 2011 Top Performing Contractors in the company's energy efficiency program for residential customers, helping homeowners save 2,350 megawatt hours of electricity and over 67,000 decatherms of gas. Over 6,700 Con Edison customers have received rebates from the residential program totaling over $3,830,000, for installing energy efficient heating and/or cooling equipment.
Contractors who received the top awards were:
- Robison Plumbing, Westchester County
- Bob Mims Heating and Air Conditioning, Staten Island
- Dundee Plumbing and Heating Inc., Queens
- AFJ Plumbing & Heating, Bronx
- 6208 Home Appliances Inc., Brooklyn
The Con Edison residential energy efficiency program is open to New York State licensed contractors. Customers can receive rebates of up to $1,000 for installing high-efficiency heating, ventilation and cooling systems. Participants in the program can save energy and money while helping to protect the environment.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held on February 8th.
