CON EDISON NAMED
TO 2011 LATINA Style MAGAZINE ‘BEST’ LIST

NEW YORK -- Con Edison was recently selected as one of the 50 best companies nationwide for Hispanic women to work by LATINA Style magazine. In 2009, the publication also named Con Edison from among 1,000 companies for providing the best career opportunities for Hispanic women.

Each year the magazine evaluates educational opportunities, alternative work arrangements, dependent and child care support, employee benefits, job retraining policies, and affinity groups, as well as the number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, and Latina board members, in selecting the top companies.

Con Edison was also noted for its leadership training, programs to recruit military personnel, and for recruiting prospective employees through Hispanic media.

Consolidated Edison, Inc. is one of the nation's largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $13 billion in annual revenues and $36 billion in assets. The company provides a wide range of energy-related products and services to its customers through its two regulated utility subsidiaries and its three competitive energy businesses.
