CON EDISON MANAGER FROM NORWALK
WINS NATIONAL YMCA AWARD

NEW YORK – A Con Edison manager from Norwalk, Conn. has been honored with a YMCA National Black Achievers in Industry Award.

Rica Johnson, section manager in Gas Operations, was chosen through a survey of company officers. The award recognizes African-Americans in business who have provided inspiration, motivation and hope for youths and young adults. Johnson was nominated for her diligence, community service and dedication to Con Edison’s environmental goals.

The award was founded at the Harlem YMCA in 1971 and is now a national project with more than 4,000 recipients.

Johnson, a Con Edison employee since 1991, received her award last week at a dinner in Manhattan.

Con Edison is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. [NYSE: ED], one of the nation’s largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $13 billion in annual revenues and $36 billion in assets.
