New Yorkers with iPhones can now get an interactive, home energy-savings checklist, 100 green tips, and energy efficiency videos. Customers can also learn how to program their home and office thermostats to save energy day and night.

Users can get tips instantly about:

Weatherization: insulation, air leaks, door and window efficiency;
Heating: including programmable thermostats, pipe insulation, and duct cleaning;
Cooling: air-conditioning, fans, and fresh air;
Water heating: temperature settings, insulation, and water-saving tips;
Lighting: CFLs, dimmers, sensors, and timers; and
Appliances: cooking, refrigeration, and laundry tips.
