CON EDISON NAMED TO 2009 LATINA Style MAGAZINE BEST COMPANIES REPORT

NEW YORK --   Con Edison recently received an honorable mention as one of the 50 best companies nationwide for Latinas to work by LATINA Style magazine.

The company was selected from among 1,000 companies for providing the best career opportunities for Hispanic women.  In 2007, Con Edison was also named to the publication’s prestigious Top 50 list.

Each year the magazine evaluates educational opportunities, alternative work arrangements, dependent and child care support, employee benefits, job retraining policies, and affinity groups, as well as the number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, and Latina board members, in selecting the top companies.

An awards ceremony honoring the LATINA Style 50 Companies will take place on February 4, 2010 during LATINA Style’s Diversity Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. For more information regarding the LATINA Style 50, visit the magazine Web site at www.latinastyle.com.
