The company recommends that customers keep cool and save on energy costs by utilizing energy saving tips for homes and businesses that you can find online at www.conEd.com/thepowerofgreen. The site also links to other information about renewable energy and green power. The Con Edison system delivers energy across a network of 92,000 miles of underground and 33,000 miles of overhead wires
to approximately 9 million New York City and Westchester County residents. Throughout the current heat spell, the company
continues to monitor its systems around the clock to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity.
The company urges customers to report power interruptions or service problems online at www.conEd.com,
or by calling Con Edison’s toll-free customer service number 1-800-75-CON ED (1-800-752-6633). When reporting an
outage, customers should have their Con Edison account number, if available, and report whether their neighbors also
