Con Edison Saluted for Supporting Military

Con Edison has been honored as one of the most valuable employers for military talent. The recognition, the Most Valuable Employers for Military 2009 by Civilian, is based on surveys in which employers outlined their 2009 recruiting, training and retention plans that best serve military service members and veterans. The award is open to U.S.-based companies.

”Serving in the Armed Forces is a privilege and an honor, and Con Edison is proud to support our employees who served and continue to serve our country so admirably,” said Mary Adamo, Vice President of Human Resources. “The leadership and technical training military service members receive are invaluable, especially to a company like ours.”

Con Edison has a rich history of recruiting military service members and approximately 200 company employees are listed as veterans or reservists. Eight employees are currently on military leave.
