CUSTOMER OUTAGE MAPS AVAILABLE ON CON EDISON WEBSITE
NEW YORK – Con Edison provides online maps that allow users to pinpoint outage locations by logging on to www.conEd.com/outagemap and clicking the “Storm Central” icon on the home page or by selecting “outage location maps” from the quicklinks menu.
The new site provides complete Con Edison service territory maps with color-coded legends indicating the range of customers without service, and where to locate outage areas on the map. Additional information is broken down by borough for New York City, and by municipality for Westchester County. All data is updated at 30-minute intervals.
For more map details, a “Summary” feature enables users to tab to either New York City or Westchester County for the latest information on active outages and affected customers, plus the time when the information was last updated.
With the click of a mouse, users can browse over a color-coded outage area for interactive information. Finding the location of a specific address can be obtained by using the “Go To” tab located on the lower right portion of the map. Just fill in an address or a ZIP code. Maps can be saved by using the “Favorites” feature.
