NewsCon Edison Media RelationsFor Immediate Release: August 18, 2006 4:00 p.m. CON EDISON REMINDS CUSTOMERS THEY MAY STILL FILE CLAIMS FOR SPOILAGENEW YORK – Con Edison is reminding customers that they may still file claims for spoilage due to the outages that affected residents in Queens. There are six locations in northwest Queens where customers may obtain information and file claims.
In addition, affected customers may also send the company a letter describing their spoilage losses. Letters should be mailed to Con Edison, Claims Department, P.O. Box 801, New York, NY 10276. Company representatives are also visiting affected businesses that lost perishable merchandise to assist them in processing claims and helping to expedite reimbursements. Forms in English, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Korean, and Chinese can also be downloaded from the company’s Web site at www.coned.com.
