CON EDISON CONTINUES TO RESTORE POWER IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY

NEW YORK – Con Edison crews continue to respond to power outages due to feeder problems in the city of Yonkers in Westchester County and other areas.

Con Edison has restored 6,400 customers out of the 11,600 who were without power in Yonkers.

There also are approximately 3,700 customers without electricity in parts of the Harrison, Rye, Port Chester and Rye Brook communities.

Con Edison crews are on location and will be working throughout the night until all customers are restored. The feeder cable problems are unique to Yonkers and other areas and have nothing to do with electricity supply.

Con Edison continues to ask customers in Yonkers, Port Chester, Rye, Harrison and Rye Brook to discontinue their use of non-essential electrical appliances and equipment as a precaution until problems on electrical feeder cables supplying power to this area can be resolved.
