CON EDISON RESPONDS TO POWER OUTAGES
IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY

NEW YORK – Con Edison crews are responding to power outages caused by a tornado and other severe weather conditions in sections of Westchester County.

The utility is assessing damage and estimates that up to 5,000 customers are currently without power. Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Mount Pleasant, New Castle and Hawthorne are among the communities hardest hit.

Con Edison asks all customers to stay away from any downed power lines and to treat them as live wires. The company urges customers to call 1-800-75CONED to report downed power lines.
