CON EDISON CREWS TO ASSIST WITH KATRINA CLEANUP

NEW YORK – Con Edison is dispatching 10 crews to the Gulf Coast to help restore electric service for customers walloped by Hurricane Katrina.

Approximately 30 Con Edison employees — specialists in overhead electrical systems — will depart for the impacted areas tomorrow morning.
