CON EDISON CFO TO PARTICIPATE IN EDISON ELECTRIC INSTITUTE FINANCIAL CONFERENCE

NEW YORK Consolidated Edison, Inc. (Con Edison) Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Joan S. Freilich will give a presentation titled "Delivering the Power" at the 38th Edison Electric Institute Financial Conference, on Tuesday, October 28, 2003. Ms. Freilich will discuss how Con Edison has remained focused on its core utility business delivering energy reliably to its customers. The presentation will be Webcast at 7:30 a.m. (EST).
