For Immediate Release: August 15, 2003 — 9:15 p.m.

Thousands of Con Edison employees worked around the clock to restore power to all 3.1 million customers in all areas of New York City and Westchester County as of 9:03 p.m. today.

The men and women of Con Edison will continue to work through the weekend to stabilize the system and to try to prevent any further disruptions.

Once again, Con Edison urges customers to conserve energy as we examine and address the effects of this week’s disruption.
