CON EDISON BRIEFING ON SUMMER PREPAREDNESS; MEDIA CAN WORK WITH CREWS IN CUT-AWAY MANHOLE OR ON UTILITY POLE

Con Edison will brief media on its ongoing $315 million system-wide improvement program and provide an update on summer preparedness. Media also can work with Con Edison crews in a cut-away manhole where cables are spliced, and in a cherry-picker on a utility pole used for training purposes, on Wednesday, April 26, 11 a.m., at the Con Edison Learning Center, 43-82 Vernon Boulevard. DIRECTIONS: By Car:
From Manhattan: 15 minutes from midtown Manhattan

Midtown Tunnel
Take Midtown Tunnel into Queens. Exit at far right tollbooth and make an immediate right turn and a second immediate right turn onto Borden Avenue. Proceed one block and turn right again onto Vernon Boulevard. Follow Vernon Boulevard for approximately one mile. The Learning Center will be on your left.

59th Street Bridge
Take 59th Street Bridge (Lower Level). Take the first exit on the right. Make a right turn at exit. Go to 43rd Avenue and make a right turn. Proceed to Vernon Boulevard and make a left turn.
