KINKEL APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, NORTHERN REGION
Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) announced today that Paul H. Kinkel has been appointed vice president of its northern region. The appointment is effective September 14.
In his new position, Kinkel will be responsible for most of Con Edison's operations in the Bronx and in Westchester County, including customer service and electric operations.
Kinkel, 53, joined Con Edison as a technical engineer in 1977, after spending 11 years at the General Electric Company. He held positions of increasing responsibility at Con Edison and in 1981 was appointed assistant vice president, power generation maintenance. Two years later, Kinkel was named vice president, construction, a position he held for four years. From 1987 to 1993, he served as vice president, fossil power, and from 1993 to 1996, as vice president, engineering. Kinkel is currently a vice president in the company's nuclear operations department.
A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Kinkel resides in Garrison, New York with his wife and two children.
