CON EDISON ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE ASSIGNMENTS
Con Edison announced today that its Board of Trustees named James P. O'Brien general auditor and elected Wanda M. Skalba vice president, information resources, effective January 1, 1998.
O'Brien, 50, joined Con Edison in 1972 after serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Currently Con Edison's vice president, information resources, O'Brien also held positions as the company's assistant vice president, employee relations; director, personnel operations; and assistant controller. A graduate of Fordham University, he succeeds Lawrence F. Travaglia, the company's current general auditor, who is retiring.
Skalba, 48, joined Con Edison in 1993 as director of application services and became director of information resources in 1996. Prior to joining Con Edison, Skalba served as vice president, global securities systems and vice president, domestic, institutional banking systems at Chase Manhattan Bank. She also held management positions with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Skalba holds a BS in Mathematics from the City College of New York.
