AWESOME COOL HOMEWORK TOOL

Use Con Edison Kids Web Site To Get Ahead

G2G2 (got to go to) the Con Edison Kids Web site.

Con Edison is encouraging students of all ages to increase their Edisonian intelligence by using the Con Edison Kids Web site as a creative and entertaining way to educate themselves on energy-related concepts, tips and information. The Web site is part of an extensive effort to make schoolchildren in New York City and Westchester County more aware of the vast networks of electricity, natural gas and steam.

Visitors will enter the animated site on a New York City street and tour Con Edison’s systems.

With a click of the mouse, students can learn about safety, energy efficiency, Con Edison’s energy grid as well as an online dictionary rich with conservation terms and ways to make our world greener.

Check out the “Unplugged” page to find out how much energy your appliances use or visit with “The Number Cruncher” to find out how to save money on your bill. Through the Con Edison site, kids can also find links to conservation sites, additional energy Web pages, and games. And teachers can download free lesson plans for subjects such as science, math and language arts.

“This Web site is a fantastic way for students to become more energy aware, get help with their homework and have fun at the same time,” said Marilyn Caselli, senior vice president of customer operations for Con Edison.
