September 5, 2007 CON EDISON NAMED A “TOP 50” COMPANY BY LATINA Style MAGAZINECon Edison ranks as one of the 50 best companies for Latinas to work for, according to LATINA Style magazine, which annually surveys nearly 1,000 companies to identify those providing the best career opportunities for Hispanic women. The magazine uses evaluative criteria monitoring educational opportunities, alternative work arrangements, dependent and child care support, employee benefits, job retraining policies, and affinity groups, as well as the number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, and Latina board members, in order to select the top companies. “Con Edison is very pleased to be given this honor,” said Con Edison Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Burke. “As a company, we take great pride in having our workforce reflect the diversity of the varied and vibrant communities we serve.”
