July 19, 2007 REIMBURSEMENT INFORMATIONCon Edison has deployed customer service vans to Madison Avenue and 42nd Street to assist customers affected by yesterday's steam pipe rupture. Based on preliminary results from asbestos tests, the company is advising people who were near Lexington Avenue and 41st Street at 6 p.m. yesterday, July 18th and had dust or debris on their clothing and belongings to put them in a plastic bag and bring them to the customer service vans. Con Edison will arrange for the safe disposal of these items. Customer care personnel will be available to help people fill out a reimbursement request.
