CON EDISON TO ISSUE LONG ISLAND CITY OUTAGE REPORT ON OCTOBER 12
Con Edison Submits Part 105 Compliance Filing
On October 12, Con Edison will issue its comprehensive report on the causes and recommendations for improvement for the Long Island City outage in July. This sweeping document also will outline new procedures to respond to future electrical emergencies.
The company continues to analyze equipment that failed during the July event in northwest Queens and develop improved operational and customer service responses.
Today, the company has submitted a Part 105 filing to the New York State Public Service Commission on the July power outage that affected northwest Queens.
This filing is required by PSC regulations within 60 days following certain service interruptions. The filing will be posted on the Con Edison Web site at www.conEd.com.
Con Edison continues to rebuild and upgrade the Long Island City network serving northwest Queens.
