July 24, 2006 Customer Assistance for Queens Residents and BusinessesHundreds of Con Edison crews are working around the clock to stabilize the electrical system in the Northwest Queens neighborhoods of Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Hunters Point, and Astoria. Maximum company resources are directed at restoring full service as quickly as possible. To address customer concerns, Con Edison Customer Outreach advocates will be on site at the YMCA at 32-23 Queen Boulevard in Long Island City from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Customer advocates will have claim forms, if you need them. Claim forms are also available on our Web site at www.conEd.com/claimforms.asp. Con Edison's customer service number is 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633). If you call, you may use our self-service options or speak to a representative. Con Edison Customer Outreach advocates will be distributing wet and dry ice at Ditmars Boulevard and Steinway Street in Astoria from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and at a Red Cross location at 65th Street and 37th Avenue from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Additional ice distribution locations include the Red Cross site at PS 2, 75-10 21st Avenue, between 75th and 76th Streets in Jackson Heights; the Red Cross site at 46th Street and Skillman Ave.; and at 45-22 32nd Place.
