Consolidated Utility Billing (CUBS) program
PowerYourWay customers have the option of receiving a consolidated bill from Con Edison, which combines the detail of Con Edison’s delivery charges and the ESCOs supply charges. This billing option is known at Con Edison as Consolidated Utility Billing (CUBS). Con Edison will calculate the CUBS bill with the information provided by the ESCO.
Purchase of Receivables (POR) program
If an ESCO chooses to participate in CUBS, they will become part of Consolidated Edison's Purchase of Receivables (POR) program. Con Edison purchases the ESCO supply charges of each CUBS invoice at a discount and performs all credit and collections routines. Feel free to contact us for more information on our POR program!
CUBS Training
For more detailed information on our CUBS and POR programs, review the CUBS training. Formal training for CUBS and POR will be provided to the ESCO to ensure all facets of the program are understood fully.
Required Documentation and Testing
There are three documents that must be submitted in order to be certified as a CUBS ESCO:
1. The Billing Service Agreement (BSA) is a contract between Con Edison and the ESCO on the details of consolidated billing.
2. The Account Clearing House (ACH) form enables Con Edison to pay for purchased receivables.
3. The W9 form is also a required document needed as part of the ACH process.
Additional EDI requirements must be met in order to participate in our CUBS and POR programs.
Please submit two original signed copies of each applicable requirement:
