Electric Load Reduction Program

Emergency Demand Response Program (EDRP)

This program may be activated by the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) as a response to power shortages or other emergencies. Con Edison will contact program participants with a request to voluntarily curtail their power use.

Eligibility and Requirements

Reduce at least 100 kW of load for four hours
Participants cannot be enrolled in another capacity based program such as NYISO ICAP–SCR Program
Billing Interval Meter and communication(s)

Incentives

Payment is the greater of $.45 for each kilowatt-hour curtailed, or 90% of the price of energy in the real-time wholesale market, the real-time zonal Locational-Based Marginal Price
Free Con Edison Demand Monitoring Software (DMS)
