Competitive Solutions Opportunities

Request For Information:
Neighborhood Program

Con Edison is seeking third party energy solution partners who can assist us in lowering electric demand in specific neighborhoods throughout New York City and Westchester as opportunities become available. This approach allows us to reduce customer’s electric bills while helping to defer the need for Con Edison to build expensive additional electricity infrastructure in those neighborhoods.

Brooklyn-Queens Initiative

Con Edison filed a petition with the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) for approval to attain 52 MW of non-traditional demand reduction via customer-side solutions and utility-side solutions by summer 2018. The program will reduce energy load and will help defer the construction of utility infrastructure for at least seven years. To view the petition, refer to the PSC case number 14-E-0302.

The request for information (RFI) solicits responses from qualified parties stating their interest and qualifications to supply Con Edison with new and innovative Demand Side Management measures. This RFI is the first step in identifying and pre-qualifying contractors for receipt of future request for proposals (RFPs) and/or other purchasing actions for specific MW reduction needs.

Associated Documents and Deadlines:

Please note: While the original RFI deadline has passed, Con Edison is still open to receiving proposals on an on-going bases as new technologies and solutions providers emerge that will help meet the RFI objectives.
